Conte Accepts FA Chance, But Shouting Problem Stay

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte received the FA’s sentence He was deemed disrespectful of referees and officials during the game against Swansea on Thursday morning (30/11).

The Italian Gaffer was sent off by referee Neil Swarbrick from the technical area near the end of the first half as he protested overly refereeing decisions that did not give a corner kick to Chelsea.

After the match Conte apologized to Swarbrick and fourth official Lee Mason, but the FA still gave the punishment to him. Conte has no intention of appealing against an FA decision that considers him guilty. That means he will be given a penalty that seems to be converted into a fine.

Coming to the Premier League game against Newcastle United, Conte said: “I think it’s right to receive it and pay a fine,” quoted from (2/12).

“I must respect this decision and also pay this fine.”

Conte will not file an appeal

Despite accepting the decision, Conte also believes Swarbrick must learn from him to make the right decision during the game.

“In this case the referee should try to protect the team that wants to win, who wants to play football,” said Conte.

“I am angry because twice I told the fourth official that they are wasting their time. I shouted this. I accept the referee’s decision. ”

Though his acts on the field are often the talk and his overwhelming emotions are considered excessive by some, Conte will not change that.

“What for? For this? No, “he said when asked if he would change his style.

Chelsea currently sit third with 29 points, 11 points behind leaders Manchester City. Next Chelsea will host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (2/12) and the next four days entertain Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. (Source:
