Appear Gemilang, MU Striker Demanded More Consistent
Anthony Martial performed brilliantly as Manchester United beat Real Madrid in the 2014 International Champions Cup. The Red-necked club won on penalties with a score of 2-1 (1-1) at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Monday ( 24/7/2017) at dawn local time.
Martial play a role in Manchester United goal against Real Madrid. In action on the right side of the defense of Los Blancos, Martial past four Madrid players before giving a mature bait in front of the mouth of goal which completed Jesse Lingard into goals in the 45th minute +1.
However, Martial brilliant performance has not been satisfactory Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. He wants the 21-year-old striker to appear more consistent.
As is known, Martial lost his position in the main squad MU last season. This is not separated from the performance that goes down with the English club. He only scored four goals in 25 appearances with United in the Premier League last season.
“Obviously we want more consistency in his talent, I think today is positive for him, so I played him for 90 minutes on the pitch he enjoyed and tried things,” Mourinho said after the match as reported by Soccerway.
“It’s important to try things in this friendly match, so it’s good for Anthony and his confidence.”
Mourinho believes, Martial is a talented player. The Frenchman is believed to still be able to develop better.
“He is a young player, still studying, still punish time to improve, still have time to develop, and that’s also his personality,” said the Portuguese man.
“I can say that he trains better than ever, he works harder than ever, this is a question to bring his talent more consistently.”
